Autopsy report reveals baby was alive when born in Bellarmine dorm

The infant found deceased in the Bellarmine dorm, Anniversary Hall, yesterday morning is said to have been born alive according to the Courier-Journal from coroner Gail Norris.
The coroner also goes on to say that the infant "was close to or at full term at birth" from the Courier-Journal.com.
The Courier-Journal reports, the baby girl was born to student Kathryn McCoy in her dorm room. McCoy is in her second year at Bellarmine and is from Plainfield, Ind. She is also a member of the university's golf team.
More information will be released this afternoon, as the investigation is ongoing in determining if the baby was born alive and what was the cause of death.
