What does your job entail?
It is my job to oversee all the activities of the Alumni Association. The Alumni Relations department coordinates 3-5 events per month for Bellarmine alumni. We offer many social, networking, family, service, and spiritual events. The Alumni Relations office is responsible for communicating to the alumni about all the exciting things happening at Bellarmine.
We also offer regional events for our alumni who live in Cincinnati, Chicago, Indianapolis, Lexington, Bardstown, Southern Indiana, and other areas. There is also a Young Alumni Network (graduates from the past 10 years), and we are working on an Alumni Travel Program.
Your Bellarmine experience does not have to end when you graduate. It is my job to provide alumni with meaningful, fun ways in which they can remain a part of the Bellarmine Community.
Degrees acquired/school attended/background:
I am a Bellarmine alumnus graduating with a double major in Business Administration and Economics in 2002. I also have my MBA and prior to taking the Alumni Director position I was the Marketing Director and Assistant General Manager for various area businesses.
Why did you choose Bellarmine?
Bellarmine is my home! I loved my time here at BU as a student and met so many great, lifelong friends here and had so many wonderful experiences. I really think Bellarmine is a University on the rise and is THE place to be, especially over the next 10-15 years.
Favorite part of your job/position:
I would have to say being a part of an institution that I believe in and want to see succeed is the favorite part of my job. I also really enjoy meeting all the Bellarmine alums from across the years (from 1954 to 2008) and organizing and planning fun events and programs for them and their families.
