If you are looking for the same old thing in the music industry, Uncle Kracker's album Happy Hour is the thing for you. The first couple of songs, such as "Smile" and "My Girlfriend" sound just like every other song on the radio.
"My Girlfriend" talks about his girlfriend having a girlfriend, which society may like, but I wasn't too particularly fond of. I just think that Uncle Kracker is trying too hard to fit into society with the first half of the CD. This is why I liked the second half; because the songs were different than what you normally hear. These were songs numbered 5 to 12, such as "Mainstreet" and "Hot Mess." The songs, I felt, were better because of their originality. It also helps that two of the songs were produced by other singers and groups, and that he sings a song with Jesse Lee entitled "Me Again."
I would give this album a 3 out of 5. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. I think it is worth the purchase to decide for yourself!
